Olen jätkanud ehete pildistamisega. Olen sobranud erinevates karbikestes ja leidnud juba unustatud ehteid. Ning tekitasingi endale veel ühe mure. Uueks probleemiks on saanud välja kisutud ehete tagasi paigutamine... Kuhu need küll panna nii, et mul oleks mingigi ülevaade?! Mul pole õrna aimugi, millised ehted on mul ununenud seisma ja millised olen saanud mõnest poest juba tagasi, ja siis veel millisest poest miski tagasi on tulnud...

Ühesõnaga selle üle tuleb mul veel mõelda. Aga siin arvestatav doos värvimängu ühe parajalt hullumeelses värvimiksis komplektiga =)

Ja mul on väike läbimurre mu ehete tegemises, kuna mul tuli täielik sein ette mõni aeg tagasi. Aga täna ma tegin ühe paari kõrvarõngaid kleepides kaks komponenti kokku :P

I've been photographing a lot lately. I found many forgotten jewellery that I've put away in different boxes. And therefore I've created yet another problem. Now I need to put all these back somewhere... But where and how to put all the jewellery with some possibility for having any overview?! I have no idea which ones I've simply forgotten and which ones I've given to shops and got them back already, and from what shop did they came from...

Definatley something to think about. But here you can see a considerable amount of colorplay from quite crazy colormix set =)

I have some progress in jewellery making too! While I had a mental block with jewellery making some time ago. Today I made a pair of earrings with gluing two components together :P

Nüüd on see siis käes. Mul on täielik blokk ehetega. Huvitav. Osa minust tahab ehteid teha, teine osa aga absoluutselt mitte. Lausa vastumeelne. Tühistasin kõik ehtetellimused. Tänan neid, kes olid mõistvad.

Praegu teen ehete asemel neist pilte. Mul on hulgaliselt pooleli olevaid asju. Näiteks kollektsioon, mille alustasin eelmise aasta novembris. See tuleb neljas eksemplaris. Plaanisin, et sellest saab kevad-suvi 2012, ent ei tea, kas jõuan enne kevadet valmis. Teema on midagi idamaist ja värvideks klassikaline punane koos valge pärli ning sellise rohelise tooniga, mis meenutab poolvääriskive nagu jadeiit, nefriit ning krüsopraas.

Now that's that. I've got a mental block when it comes to making jewellery. Interesting. Part of me wants to craft and part of me absolutely doesn't. It's even reluctant. I cancelled all custom orders. Thank you who understood.

Right now I take photos. I've got many unfinished jewellery. For excample this collection that I started in November last year. Everything will be in four copies. I planned it to be for spring-summer 2012 but I doubt I'll make it in time. Theme is something oriental with strong classical colors of siam red, white pearl and green that resembles semiprecious stones like jade, chrysoprase and nefrite.

Earring & Bracelet Set

Ma avastasin, et olen viimasel ajal unarusse jätnud käekettide valmistamise! Kõrvarõngaid muudkui tuleb, ja natuke ka kaelakeesid, aga käekette ei ole teinud juba tükk aega! Nii tegingi ühe, päris lihtsa.

Pruunikirju siidisest klaasist ovaalsed helmed on Tšehhis valmistatud ning neile on peale pressitud lillekujuline muster. Oliivrohelised on aga käsitsi keeratud, mitte just perfektsed, aga eriti põnevas viimistluse koosluses - hõbefoolium ning matt pind! See paneb need helmed salapäraselt kumama! Lisaks kasutasin ka Tšehhi seemehelmeid ning Swarovski kristalle Green Tourmaline.

I recently realized that I haven't made any bracelets for a long time! Right now it's more easy to make earrings, even some necklaces, but no bracelets whatsoever! So I made one, and quite simple one.

Oval shaped beads with silky glass in brown colors were made in Czech, they have flowery pattern pressed on the surface. Olive green beads are handmade and not so uniform in shape/size and quality, but they have most fascinating combination of finishes - silver foil and frosted surface! These make the beads glow inside! I also used Czech seedbeads and Swarovski Green Tourmaline crystal rhinestones.

Nüüd on see tehtud. Võtsin julguse kokku ja lammutasin ühe antiikse prossikese ära. See oli ümmargune ning Saphiret kivid olid ringikujuliselt prossi servas. Kivi, mis pidi prossi keskel olema, oli läinud kaduma. Lähemalt saab lugeda Saphiret klaasist siin. Kõrvarõngad on tumedates toonides, saphiret klaasi punakaspruun ning vanade käsitsi tehtud (!) 1-2mm klaaspärlite beež toon sulab kokku antiikvaskse metalliga. Saphiret klaasi sinist helki õnnestus mul natuke ka fotole jäädvustada ent päriselus on see kivi palju ilusam :)

Now I've done it. I took apart an antique saphiret brooch for harvesting the stones. The brooch was round shaped and the saphiret rhinestones were in circle on the edge. The bigger stone in the middle was lost. You can read more about saphiret glass here. Earrings are in dark colors with red brown of the saphirets and beige color of handmade (!) 1-2mm glass pearls blend together with antique copper metal. I managed to get some of the saphirets blue light on photos but these stones look a lot prettier in person :)

Ja siin see ongi - kolmas ehtekonkurss, milles teevad koostööd E-Beads ja Create Your Style with Swarovski Elements. Olen eelnevatest osa võtnud ning seda kajastanud ka siin blogis. Esimene oli Boudoir Beautiful 2010, teine Urban Beautiful 2011. Ei esimesest osa võtnud kaelakee ega teise kandideerinug kõrvarõngapaar ei suutnud parima 20 hulka saada. Kolmas konkurss kannab nime Blooming Beautiful.
Teema - Blooming Beautiful - on täis võlu, õisi ning seotud müstilise traditsionaalse Hiinaga. Loe rohkem siit. Seoses sellega panin kokku oma varudest mõned kivid, et natuke teemaga mängida. Mul pole mingitki ideed, mida võiksin teha :( Isegi mitte kõige pisematki.

Alustasin laupäeval loosinimekirja tegemist. Kontrollisin linke... Nummerdasin kõik reeglitele vastavad kommentaarid. Blossom Button Clip Earrings!

Blossom kõrvarõngaste sarja olen lisanud juba leverback versiooni kõrvarõngaid. Nüüd aga proovisin sama motiivi klõpskõrvarõngastele (ehk siis nendele, kellel pole kõrvas auke). Blossom sari meeldib mulle endale väga, sest siin annab nii palju mängida värvikombinatsioone erinevate ehtekivide ja helmestega!

Kõrvarõngaste motiiv on sama suur, kui teistelgi samasse sarja kuuluvatel kõrvarõngastel - 16mm. Klõpsud on kruviga reguleeritavad. Tegin neid kõrvarõngaid kolm paari, kõikidel on Swarovski ehtekivid (Violet, Capri Blue ja Cyclamen Opal).

I've added a leverback version to my Blossom earring series already. Now I tried to make a clip version too (for those who doesn't want to pierce their ears). Blossom series is my favourite right now because it allows to make so many different color combinations with rhinestones and beads!

The motif here is as wide as the ones used in Blossom button earrings - 16mm. Clips can be regulated with screws. I made 3 pairs, all with Swarovski rhinestones (Violet, Capri Blue and Cyclamen Opal).

Miss Molly Button Earrings

Tahtsin teha nööpkõrvarõngaid, milles oleks rohkem seemnehelmeid, kohe palju rohkem kui viimases "Blossom" seerias. Ja siis tekkisidki need siin. Selle kõrvarõngaste seeria nimeks sai "miss Molly". Sest need ei sätenda nii palju ning neis on neiulikult armsad lillekesed. Kõrvaõngad on kaunistatud mitmekihiliselt, nii nagu vanasti tehti :) Praegu ma väga palju erinevaid värvikombinatsioone selles tegumoes ette ei kujuta (maksimum kahe värviga), aga kuna kõrvarõnga toorik on ainult 18mm, siis palju see ei saagi mahutada. Kahjuks lõhub nende valmistamine kohutavalt näppe... Tööprotsessi käigus on püsti peenikesi traadiotsi ning žiletina teravaid servi. Need lõpuks on muidugi eemaldatud või peidetud töö sisse nii. Aga jah, mul pole ammu näpud niiiii valutanud.

Kasutasin siin nii uusi kui ka vanu ehtekive (Swarovski, Preciosa) koos Tšehhi seemnehelmestega. Metallkomponendid on toodetud EU-s.

I wanted to make earrings that have more seedbeads in them, lot more than my previous earrings from "Blossom" series. And then I made these. I named this new earring series "miss Molly". Because they don't shine too much and have sweetest flowers in them. Earrings are in layered technique, just like they used to make in the old days :) I can't see too many color combinations with them (max 2 colors) but since the plate is 18mm in diameter it doesn't hold too much anyway. Unfortunately making these hurts my fingers, alot... During the process there are many thin wire ends and razor-sharp edges. I will remove or hide them all. Yes, my fingers haven't ached that much in a long time.

I used new and vintage rhinestones (Preciosa, Swarovski) with Czech seedbeads. All metal components were made in EU.

Olen ammu tahtnud teha ühe kollektsiooni spetsiaalselt pulmade jaoks, kuid olen seda iga kord edasi lükanud. Põhiliselt on probleemiks olnud ka pärlite nigel tagavara ning ka kristallvärvi vintage ehtekivide nappus turul. Seetõttu ei saanud fantaasial vabalt lennata lasta ning isegi nüüd, kus osad asjad on valmis, pole ma saanud seda õiget tunnetust. Siin mõned pildid:

I've always wanted to make a collection of wedding jewellery but there's always something else to do so I had to put it on hold too many times. Mostly I didn't have enough pearls anyway and crystal color vintage rhinestones too. Because of the material shortage I couldn't let my fantasy fly and even now when some pieces are finished I haven't got the real feeling. So here are some photos what I made.

Elisabeth VII & old SW Vitrail Medium

Kaelakee seeriast Elisabeth, see siin on järjekorras VII. Värvidest on siin kõige rohkem beeži ja roosat. Tšehhoslovakkia pressitud lihvitud klaaskivide värviks on Rosalin, käsitsivalmistatud tilgakujulised opaali imitatsioonid aga sisaldavad peale roosa veel rohelist, valget ja kollast. Swarovski toodangut on siin ka, suuremad ümmargused AB läikelised Light Peach, tillukesed Light Peach, piklik Jonquil ning ripatsi osa üleval ja all tipus olev Vitrail Medium ehtekivid.

Viimased on päris erilised minu jaoks. Pakendi järgi on need kivid kuskilt 1950ndatest, aga mis eriti põnev - see Swarovski viimistlus oli vanasti hoopis teine. Kui tänapäevane Vitrail Medium on arbuusi värvidega (fuktsiaroosa, smaragtroheline, oliivroheline ja kollakas), siis vanasti oli see hoopis mahedam ja salapärasem. Vanades Vitrail Medium ehtekivides on näha mahedat oranži, roosat ja sinist ning aimatavalt õrna lilla-roosakat varjundit.

Elisabeth VII Necklace

This is a necklace from Elisabeth series. This one is Elisabeth VII and has bright beige and pink colors. Czechoslovakian pressed and tablecut rhinestones are in Rosalin color, handmade glass imitation opal has pink, yellow, blue and white. There are many Swarovski crystals too, like bigger round ones in Light Peach AB, tiny Light Peach, long navettes in Jonquil and some special ones at the top and bottom. Thes are vintage Vitrail Medium.

Judging by the package these might be from the 1950s. But what really makes them special to me is that the old Vitrail Medium finish differs from the one Swarovski uses nowadays. Now this finish has bright water melon colors (fuchsia pink, emerald, olive, yellow) but back then it was much more delicate and mysterious. Old Vitrail Medium is a blend of soft orange, pink and light blue with a hint of purple.

Vintage Rhinestone Package

Eelmine nädal jõudis Eestisse üks vana ehtekivide pakike, millele sain kätte eile. Müüja kirjelduse kohaselt peaks olema tegu vanade Swarovski kividega. Kvaliteet on tõesti hea, ent kuskilt ei leidnud mingit märget, et tegu oleks Swarovski toodanguga. Pakil on üleval servas kirjas "IMIT.DOUBLETS EXTRA step cut FOILED RUBY 4.2/5MM" ja lõpp on käsitsi üle kirjutatud, veel "AUG 6 1946". All vasakus nurgas "GRO 4", mis tähendab kogust (4grossi=4x144=576tk) ning paremas nurgas numbrid "3629". Teisel pool on edasimüüja andmed "Hoffer-Ashley, inc.", mis võib ollagi üks suurim ehtekivide edasimüüja, mis kannab tänapäeval nime E.H. Ashley & Co, inc (asutatud 1899). Ning neli kohanime New York, Paris, Oberstein Nahe ja Gablonz. Kuna viimane on kõige suurema fondiga, siis võibolla ongi kivid toodetud hoopis Tšehhoslovakkias.

Kivid on tugevast pruunist jõupaberist volditud ümbrikus siidipaberis ja vati sisse mähitud. Need on rubiinpunased, lihvitud vapikujuliselt ning foolium on peaaegu rikkumata. Mul on tunne, et selliseid ehtekivide pesasid ma ei leia...

Last week a vintage rhinestone package came to Estonia, I received it yesterday. The man who sold it described it as vintage Swarovski. The quality is stunning though I couldn't find anything on the package to confirm it was Swarovski. On the edge of the envelope there is a writing "IMIT.DOUBLETS EXTRA step cut FOILED RUBY 4.2/5MM" and last part is over written by hand, and also "AUG 6 1946". Left corner has "GRO 4" meaning the amount of stones in this package (4grosses=4x144=576pcs) and right corner numbers "3629". On the back of the package there's info about the wholesaler "Hoffer-Ashley, inc" that could be one of the biggest rhinestone reseller that carries a name E.H. Ashley & Co, inc nowadays (it was founded in 1899). And four city names New York, Paris, Oberstein and Gablonz. Since the last one is written in bigger font then perhaps these stones were made in Czechslovakia.

Rhinestones are carefully wrapped in cotton, tissue paper and strong brown paper. These are ruby red, cut into shield shape and folium is almost perfect. I have a feeling I'm not going to get matching settings for those...

Pink Earrings

Plaan teha sellele komplektile kõrvarõngad lükkus edasi oodatust rohkem. Nüüd on see aga tehtud. Jäin uuesti imetlema neid magusroosasid helmeid ning see, et need on tehtud käsitsi ning igaüks natuke omatpidi lopergune, annab minu silmis nii palju juurde. Ja kuigi on tegu suht õrna värviga, ei lase need helmed ennast segada ka kollasel valgusel. Roosa jääb ikka roosaks. Nagu kaelakees ja käeketis, on ka nendes kõrvarõngstes Swarovski Rose Water Opal ehtekivi ning Tšehhi seemnehelmed.

I was planning to make a pair of earrings for this set but never got the time. Now I've made it. And again I fell for these sweet pink glass beads and the fact that they are handmade and have variations in shape and size even add value to them. Although pink is a soft and delicate color these beads will not lose their beautiful hue even in yellow light. Pink is still pink. There are round Swarovski Rosa Water Opal rhinestones in these earrings as in necklace and bracelet have a pear shaped one. And Czech seedbeads.

Saturday at Vintage Tallinn

Eile, laupäeval, osalesin Vintage Tallinna'l. Olin kohutavalt pabinas ja sellepärast muudkui rääkisin ja rääkisin. No ja millest, eks ikka vatrasin oma ehetest ja ehtekividest. Ma võtsin kolm pakki ehtekive kaasa, et inimestele näidata. Esimest korda kasutasin ka makseterminali, millega oli alguses raskusi. Minu kõrval oli Mona ehted, sealt Elena aitas mind.

Kokkuvõttes jättis üritus positiivse mulje. Väsitav oli, aga eks sellised asjad väsitavad ju alati. Tore oli komplimente ehete kohta saada ning müügi poole pealt jäin omadega plussi. Nüüd saan maksta tellimuse ehtekivide pesadele, mida mul juba kuu algusest saati hädasti vaja.

Aitäh kõigile, kes külastasid ja tulid juttu puhuma!

Yesterday, on Saturday I took part of Vintage Tallinn. I was so nervous I kept talking all 6 hours. About my jewellery and rhinestones ofcourse. I even took 3 vintage rhinestone packages with me to show. Yesterday was the first time for me to use a payment terminal from my bank and didn't know how to use it first. Right next to my selling spot was Mona jewellery and Elena there helped me with it.

Briefly said, it was a positive experience. Tiresome, but thiskind of things tend to be that way. It was nice to hear compliments on my jewellery and when looking at sales I did OK. I can now pay for the order of rhinestone settings that I really needed already in the beginning of this month.

New attempt

Laadisin fotoka aku, paigutasin valge paberi ja kõrvarõngad aknalauale ning jäin varitsema kõige heledamat hetke. Pildid tehtud päevavalguses (päike pilve taga), kuna statiivi pole, siis kasutasin plastkarbikest ning tegin pisut heledamaks pilditöötlusega (whitepoint, gamma, contrast).

Aga tegelikult on need kõrvarõngad suht väikesed, diameeter 1,8cm.

I recharged my camera battery, arranged the set with white paper and earrings and waited for the brightest moment. These photos were made in daylight (sun behind the clouds), since I don't have a tripod I used small plastic box to support the camera and made them a bit brighter on computer (whitepoint, gamma, contrast).

Actually these earrings are quite small, 1,8cm in diameter.

Kui päeva kõige valgem hetk pole piisav fotode tegemiseks, siis tuleb appi võtta tehisvalgus.
Kuna osalen seekordsel Vintage Tallinn vol.5, siis plaanisin teha spetsiaalselt ühe uue seeria kõrvarõngaid. Et oleks miskit värsket pakkuda. Aga jäin jänni pildistamisega... Kõrvarõngastes on ehtekive, helmeid/pärleid ja seemnehelmeid. Päevavalguses tegin pilte ning ükski ehtekivi ei säranud. Nagu neid polekski seal :( Nii ma siis proovisin täna seda teist varianti.

Toon mõned näited fotodena. Vasakul fotod päevavalgusega ning paremal tehisvalgusega. Ja just kõrvarõngad selliste ehtekividega, millel on eriviimistlused, sest need on alati trikikad. Kartsin, et tehisvalgus moonutab helmeste ja kristallide värvi. Seda õnneks ei juhtunud. Kuid... metall on kuidagi rohkem pronks kui vask... Kuid kumb antud variantidest on siis parem?

Siin on kasutatud Preciosa ehtekive Sahara, mis otsevaates on hallikassinised, küljelt aga kuumavad rohelised, oranzikate sähvatustega.

When brightest time of the day is not enough for photographing, it's time for using artificial light.
Since I take part from Vintage Tallinn vol.5 I planned to make a brand new series of earrings . So I could offer something new. But I got stuck with photographing... These earrings have rhinestones, beads/pearls and seedbeads. Photos made in daylight didn't show almost any sparkle from the rhinestones. Like there wasn't any :( So today I tried the other way.

Here are some photo samples. On the left with photos made in daylight and on the right with photos made in artificial light. I chose those earrings that have rhinestones with special effects because these are always trickier to capture. I was afraid that artificial light will change the color of beads and crystals. Fortunately it didn't happen. But... metal parts look like they were bronze instead of copper... So which option here is better way to go?

Nõel kübarale või reväärile. Uhh, see pildistamine ajab juba nutu peale! Kell 13.00 ja nii pime, et minu fotoaparaat ei saa korralike piltidega hakkama! Nendel fotodel peaks olema tumepunaste klaaskividega nõel. See tumepunane värv on tegelikult ilus, sügav... Ehtekivide vahel on hematiidivärvi lihvitud klaashelmed. Kaunistatud osa on 2,4cm läbimõõduga.

Ostsin swarovski vintage tehasepaki ehtekividega. Ja suurepärane üllatus - see on dateeritud. Need kivid on edasimüüjani jõudnud 12. märtsil 1952. Ja ehtekivid on suurepärases seisus, täiesti klaarid ja sillerdavad!

I bought a swarovski factory pack. And it had a nice surprise - it had a date on it. These rhinestones have reached reseller on the 12nd March in 1952. And all rhinestones are in excellent condition, crisp clear and full of spark!

Ma mäletan, et ükskord üks daam arvas, et kui ma ehteid teen, siis ega ma vaeseke ei oska kududa ega heegeldada. Mul oli isegi natuke piinlik öelda, et tegelikult ju oskan, aga ma ei naudi seda nii palju, kui ehete tegemist. Ma arvan, et ta ei uskunud mind.

Ja niimoodi ongi, et inimestel tekib ettekujutus, kes-mis sa oled ja mida sa oskad või ei oska. Samamoodi on mulle selgitatud tehnikaid, ja mainitud, et see mulle ei meeldi. Viimati oli tegu helmespõiminguga. Mulle tegelikult helmesõimingud meeldivad tohutult. Aga kuna need võtavad mul rohkem aega, kui see, mis enamjaolt siin blogis näha, siis sellepärast olen pidanud tegema valiku. Aga on ka vastupidi, mõnikord arvatakse, et ma tean kõike :)

Elena saatis mulle pildi ühtedest kõrvarõngastes ja palus mul näidata talle, kuidas neid tehakse. Sellised pisikesed väljakutsed mulle meeldivad. Tegu on peyote tehnikas kaetud helmega. Siin on minu kõrvarõngapaar (et tõestada, ma pole peyote't ära unustanud). Mõnusalt vanaroosat värvi, mis sobib antiikvasega suurepäraselt.
... ainult nüüd on mul vaja selle tegemist näidata ja pisikesest väljakutsest on saanud suur, sest nagu tuleb välja, on organiseeritud sellest näitamisest lausa õpituba. Ja ma närveerin...

I remember that once one elderly lady had an opinion that because I make jewellery I certainly can't knit or crochet. I tried to tell her that I can actually. Only I don't enjoy these techniques as much I do jewelllery making. I don't think she believed me.

And that is how thing usually are, peaople have quite clear vision of what you are and what you can or can't do. I've also been told about some techniques and thought I don't like them just because I don't use them. For example beadweaving. I really like beadweaving, actually. But they do tend to take more time than the making the kind of jewellery I show here in my blog, so that's why I don't use beadweaving that much. But then there are other times when people think I know everything :)

Elena sent me an email with a picture of earrings and asked if I could show how this technique works. I do love thiskind of small challenges :) It was a pair of earrings that had beaded beads in peyote. So here's my pair of earrings (to prove I still kknow peyote). Vintage rose color that goes so well with antique copper.
... all I need to do is to show how it's done, but this little challenge has become a big one because Elena has arranged this into a workshop. And it makes me quite nervous...

Ma olen tavaliselt öelnud, et ma ei tee käeehteid kellaga :) Üheks põhjuseks kellatoorikute küsitav kvaliteet ja teiseks fakt, et tegelikult ju kellade kaunistajaid-tegijaid on Eestis piisavas koguses, et soovija endale selle õige leiaks. Aga nagu näha, siis ära kunagi ütle "kunagi". Ma suudan ei öelda meili teel ning enamjaolt ka telefonis, aga mitte näost-näkku. Ja mis siin enam rääkida, ega asjad ei lähe tihti nii, nagu ma ette kujutan. Alguses mulle anti üks kell, mida ma võiksin vabalt valitud viisil tuunida. Lähemal vaatlusel ei leidnud ma vajalikke aasasid, et lisada ketti. Ning rihma ei saanud sealt tervena eemaldada. Pealegi oli kell täitsa ilus ja kahju ka lõhkuda.

Ma olen näinud ehetes kasutatavaid strass toorikuid ja strass kellasid. Need on need pooleli valmis ehte komponendid, millel on kristallikeste jaoks jäetud süvendid. Ja millegipärast on need tihtilugu tühjaks jäetud. Huvitav, miks? Kui pole soov ehtekive kasutada, siis miks ei kasutata ilma süvendita toorikuid? Nii ma mõtlesingi, et prooviks ise ka sellist kasutada, vbl on nendega mingi probleem, et raske kleepida neid kive vms...

Ja tellisin endale esimesed strass kellatoorikud. Kleepimine oli tõesti proovikivi. Mul isegi olid sobivad ehtekivid olemas. Töö käis mitmes järgus, sest vastasel juhul oleksin kogemata juba liimitud kivid kogemata paigalt lükanud. Ja kõiki kristalle ma täpselt horisontaalselt ei suutnudki paigutada, ükskõik kui palju ma vaeva nägin

Kellal on swarovski White Opal Star Shine kristallid ja neli Tšehhoslovakkias valmistatud kivikest ning klaashelmeid. Mul on vaja veel kell teha omanikule täpselt parajaks.

Many times I've said I'm not making those watches :) First because of the questionable quality of the watch workpiece and second, I think there's enough people in Estonia who make them. But I guess never say "never", right. I can say "no" via email and mostly on phone too, but not face to face. And no need to mention that things don't usually go as planned. First I was given a watch that I could redo as I pleased. But that watch had no attaching possibilities and I couln't remove the old watchband without breaking it. And it was a lovely watch so I really didn't want to break it.

I've seen people use premade metal jewelry components that are called strass components. These are the components with holes so you could glue rhinestones in them. And even though people use them, they often leave these holes empty. I wonder why? If they don't want to use rhinestones, then there are various other components without these holes. So I decided to try one of these out, who knows there could be some reason why the strass components are left without strass. Perhaps it's too difficult to glue?

And I ordered my first strass watch faces. Gluing thos tiny rhinestones was difficult indeed! Fortunately I had the right (more-or-less) sized stones. I had to wait the glue to dry many times so I wouldn't accidentally push one of the rhinestone out of its hole. And I couldn't get all the stones to be horisontally no matter how hard I tried!

I used Swarovski White Opal Star Shine rhinestones with Czechoslovakian crystals and glass beads.

Sain valmis! Komplekt kaelakeest ja käeketist. Mõlemal on 9 rida helmeid!

Meeldiva üllatuse valmistasid piimjasvalged klaashelmed. Kui need ostsin, siis müüja kirjelduses olid need "vintage" ning mainitud oli tootjamaa Jaapan. Helmed olid ajutiselt lükitud niidile ning igal niidil oli silt tootja brändi märgiga. Iseenesest väga armas. Aga kui ma antud ehete jaoks hakkasin neid helmeid uuesti lükkima avastasin, et need on käsitsi tehtud ja mitte pressitud vaid nö keeratud. Tänapäeva ümmargusi helmeid pressitakse, et saada ühesuurune, -kujuline helmes. Aga 4mm helmeid ümber metallvarda keerutada... Igaljuhul on tegu kvaliteettootega!

Oliivrohelised helmed on tänapäevased, aga lihvitud käsitsi. Kui tavalisel, nö tšehhi tüüpi 12mm fire polish helmel on 32 tahku, siis nendel on 96. Sedasi lihvitakse poolvääriskive. Tänu paljudele tahkudele sillerdavad need helmed kaunilt ja püüavad valgust ka enda sisse.

Kinnisel on suur lihvitud kristallklaasist tilk, ehtekive ja klaashelmeid. Ja nagu ikka, avastasin ma, et mul on liiga vähe ehtekive. Oliivrohelist võiks rohkem olla :) Oliivroheliste juurde panin ma tšehhi kristallist ehtekive "sahara", mis otse vaates on sinine, küljelt oliivroheline ning viskab mõne oranžika helgi ka sisse.

Finished! Set of a necklace and bracelet. Both have 9 strings of beads!

I had a nice surprise with these white milky beads. When I bought them they were described as vintage and made in Japan. They were temporary strung and every string had a label with brand name, logo and country of origin. Very cute. When I started to restring them I noticed that these little beads were handmade, and not pressed but handwound. These are all in one shape and size as handmade beads ever can. Definately a quality product!

Olive green beads are new, made in nowadays, faceted by hand. When most commonly used faceted beads are usually fire polished czech glass beads, then in size 12mm they have 32facets. But these green ones here have 96. They usually cut semi-precious stone beads like this. Swarovski also have article like that, but cutting is made with machines so result is meticulously precise. Thanks to so many facets the green beads sparkle and also catch light within.

The clasp has a big faceted pear shaped crystal glass bead/pendant, some rhinestones and beads. And as many times before I realised that there's not enough rhinestones. I should have more in olive green :) But I added some czech crystal rhinestones in Sahara color. It has a blue and olive green colors with a little orange flash in it depending the angle you look.

Siin on ühed vanad helmed, mille ostsin mõned aastad tagasi ja jäid seisma. Pärit Jaapanist, piimjasvalged. Isu tuli teha mitmerealine kee, kaunistatud karpkinnisega. Mul on kaks niiti kristallklaasist suuri oliivrohelisi helmeid ka. Need on tihedate lihvitud tahkudega. Oliivroheline ja valge... Ehk hakkab miskit looma.

These are vintage glass beads that I purchased some years ago. Made in Japan, milky white. I think I want to make a festive necklace with many strings of beads and a box clasp. I also have two strings of large crystal glass olive green beads. With micro faceting. Olive green and white... Perhaps it leads somewnere.

Ma otsisin veel neid alla 2mm kivikesi, et korrata seda kaelakeed. Ja leidsin ühe paki, millel kiri Swarovski Light Smoked Topaz. Väga hea, mõtlesin, mul ju sama värvi teisi suurusi ka.

Kui paki (või õigemini tegu ümbrikumoodi asjaga) avasin, leidsin seest tillukeste kivikeste segu. Ja lähemal uurimisel oli näha ka värvi erinevusi. Pole Swarovski värvide proff, niimoodi pakkudes ütleksin, et seal oli peale Light Smoke Topaz'i veel Light Colorado Topaz. Viimane on natuke kollakam. Silma järgi suutsin enamvähem eristada kivikeste suurusi. Valmis selline kaelakee.

I was looking for some tiny rhinestones to make this necklace in different color, when I came across a packege of these ones, Swarovski Light Smoked Topaz written on it. Very good, I thought, for I do have that color rhinestones in other sizes.

When I opened a package (that's more like an envelope), I found a mix of different sizes. And when I looked even closer I saw some color differences. I'm not aware of all Swarovski colors (there's just too many of them to know by heart), I think it also had some Light Colorado Topaz in it too. It's a bit more yellow. Fortunately I could see the size differences by naked eye. And this is a result. A necklace.

See on ühe idee harjutustöö. Idee on põhimõtteliselt sama, ainult helmeste asemel on ehtekivid. Tahtsin, et lillekesed oleks ümmarguselt, välja tuli pisut lopergune :) Aga noh, eks näis, kas ma suudan paremini.

This is a practice work for one earring idea. It's going to be quite similar, only with rhinestones instead of beads. I tried to put the flowers in more round shape. as you can see I didn't succeed :) Oh well, I'll see if I can manage to do that.

Ma sain need kivid 2009 septembris. Siin-seal olen kasutanud, kuid ikka on jäänud kuskile tunne, et need kivid väärivad enamat. Koos sätendavate ja sillerdavatega jäävad nad teiste varju. Nad oleks justkui hoopis teisest maailmast. Tagasihoidlikud ja kummalise värvitooniga, mis pole ei külm ega soe...

Valmistatud 1970-80ndatel Swarovski poolt. Läikivaks poleeritud ning kohati poolvääriskivi imiteeriva ebaühtlase värviga jadeiitrohelised kivikesed leidsid lõpuks minu jaoks oma koha. Tulemus on nii lihtne ja ma saan aru, et see võib isegi naljakas olla, et ma kaks aastat selle üle mõtisklesin! Võimalik, et olen ainuke, kes sellest värvist vaimustuses on... Aga jah, sellised kõrvarõngad tegin ma endale ka :)

I bought these stones in September 2009. I've used these a couple of times but always had this feeling that they deserve more. When I combine it with shiny and sparkly ones these stones always dissapeared in the background. They were like whole different thing. Modest and with strange green color that was not warm nor cold...

Made in the 1970-80's by Swarovski. With shiny polish and with different color hues that imitates natural semiprecious stone. Finally I found a use that let's this stone show itself. It is so simple and I understand if it seems a bit funny that I searched this for 2 years! Could be that I'm only one who's so exited about this color... I made an extra pair of earrings for myself :)

Valmis :) Oli küll planeeritud selleks talveks, ent kuna sai varem valmis, siis pole mõtet ka peita. Kokku 24 artiklit: 5 kaelakeed, 5 paari kõrvarõngaid, 6 käeehet, 2 prossi, 2 sõrmust ja 4 juukseaksessuaari. Kasutasin peaaegu kõiki helesiniseid givre kive sorte oma kogust, lisaks kuukivi imitatsioonkive ja läbipaistvaid ehtekive fooliumkihiga. Kõiki ehteid on 4 eksemplari välja arvatud suur juukseklamber (2tk) - sest pole kätte saanud klambritoorikuid. See laupäev viin need ehted Les Petites' poodi ning panen need üles ka DaWanda poodi.

Finished :) I know I wanted it to be a winter collection but since I just finished it I can't keep it only to myself. Alltogether 24 pieces: 5 necklaces, e pair of earrings, 6 bracelets, 2 brooches, 2 rings and 4 hair accessories. I used almost every sort of blue givre stones I have, also some moonstone glass and transparent rhinestones with folium. Every design is in 4 copys except big hair barrette (2pcs) - I don't have any barrette clips. I'll take this collection to Les Petites on Saturday and upload to DaWanda before that.

Kuidagi väga järsku tekkis olukord, kus mul pole pakkuda kaelakeesid. Ma ei tea, kuidas see küll juhtus! Poodidesse küsitakse ja meili kaudu ka. Selliseid, nagu mul eelmises postituses oli, ma kahjuks nii ruttu valmistada ei suuda (kuigi mulle väga meeldiks, kui neid oleks igas värvitoonis...). Aga siin on minupoolne lahendus.

Palun saage tuttavaks, see on Magda. Jah, ma panin kaelakeele nime ja mitte ainult kaelakeele, vaid kaelakeede sarjale. Nimelt on mul valmimas mitu sarnase ehtekivide paigutusega kaelakeed, kus mängin erinevate värvidega. Ja kuna nad on sarnased, siis on nad kõik Magdad. See siin on Magda I. Värvid on sügisesed: Smoked Topaz, Light Smoked Topaz, Olivin, Jet.

Suddenly I found myself in a situation with no necklaces to offer. I have no idea, how I couldn't see it coming! Shops are asking and people are writing emails too. I can't make many necklaces like in my last post, unfortunately (though I really wish I could have them in many colors...). So I came up with a quicker solution.

Meet Magda. Yes, this necklace has a name. And not just this one, but the entire series of this kind of necklaces. There are many necklaces in progress that have similar rhinestone shapes in same way but with different color combinations. And because they are similar they are all Magdas. This one here is Magda I. With autumn colors: Smoked Topaz, Light Smoked Topaz, Olivin, Jet.

Komplekt uute helmestega. Oi-oi-kui roosa! :) Kinnised on kaunistatud muuhulgas suurte swarovski tilkadega, värv on Rose Water Opal. Kui vaadata kaelakeed, siis võiks ju arvata, et kõige raskem osa oligi kinnise kaunistamine. Aga ei. Ei olnud nii. Selliste kaelakeede puhul on kõige raskem õige pikkusega helmeridade lükkimine. Uh, minu jaoks lausa omaette kosmos! Vähe sellest, et tuleb arvestada kaelajoonega ning sellega, et helmeread ühtlaselt pikemaks läheksid - suurt rolli mängivad ka helmeste diameetrid...

Aga valmis sain (pärast mitmeid kohendamisi). Ja tulemusega olen rahul. Ülimagus komplekt ülimagusas roosas värvis :)

Set with my new beads. Result is oh-so-pink! :) Clasps have swarovski pear shaped stones in color of Rose Water Opal amongst other bits and pieces. When looking at the necklace, one might think that the most difficult part would be decorating the clasp. But no. It's not so. The trickiest thing about this kind of necklaces is stringing the right lenght beadstrings. The difficulty is beyond everything for me! Yes, one should count in the curve of the neck and the fact that the strings should go from shorter to longer - but the diameter of the beads have also a big roll in this....

Nevertheless I did finish it (after making many adjustments). And I'm happy with the results. Supersweet set with supersweet pink :)

Olen varemgi roosat kasutanud, kuid helmeste valik on olnud võrreldes siniste-roheliste-ja-mis-kõik-muuga väike. Alati on häda, et ilusat roosat tooni klaashelmeid pole sugugi lihtne saada. Ja kui on, siis on ikka hind kõrgem ka. Jah, ma tean, et ostes kaks-kolm helmest kuskilt jaepoest pole hinnavahe väga märgata. Aga ma tahan ju osta hulgi ja siis on hinda vaadates lausa valus.
Ja siis tuli pakkumine hulgimüüjalt, neil olid allahindlused! Need helmed saabusid mulle hiljuti :) Piimjad heleroosad 4mm ja tugevamat tooni 10mm ümmargused helmed. Viimased on käsitsi tehtud.
Arvake ära, mis värvi ehteid ma praegu tegema hakkan?
Ostes need helmed oli mul mõte panna kokku roosa ja safiirsinine. Aga praegu on roosa järele isu nii suur, et tuleb vist roosa koos roosaga ;)

I've used pink color before but my selection of that colored beads is small compared to blues-greens-and-all-the-others. Always a problem of getting a beautiful shade of pink beads. And when there are some, the price is high. Yes I know, buying some two-three beads from LBS doesn't make any difference. But I want to buy in bulk and then it usually hurts to see the price. Then I came across an offer from my wholesaler, they were having a sale! I received the beads on my photos recently :) Milky light pink 4mm and medium pink 10mm round beads. Bigger ones were made by hand.

I bought these with the idea of mixing light pink with sapphire blue. But right now looking at these delicious pink beads I'm thinking of putting pink together with pink ;)

Ma käisin mingil päeval Les Petites'es, sest pole ammu käinud ja samuti tahtsin vaadata teiste tegijate töid. Ning oli plaan tasapisi uurida, kas seal on ruumi mu uuele ehtekollektsioonile (mis veel valmis ei ole). On küll.

Mulle meeldib Les Petites'e poe juures see, et seal on suured aknad ja palju loomulikku valgust. Nüüd muidugi lähevad päevad aina lühemaks, aga see valgus, mis väljas on, see jõuab ka poodi. Klõpsisin pilte, mis seekord tulid täitsa kobedad välja. Tegelikult on pood muidugi suurem, kui piltidele jäi, eks ma katsusin oma ehteid rohkem sihtida :)

I visited Estonian shop Les Petites one day, for I haven't been there for a long time now and I wanted to see all the delightful handmade designer stuff displayed there. I also wanted to see if there's room for my new jewellery collection (that is still not finished). There's enough room.

What I love about Les Petites shop is that there's a lot of natural light coming in from the big windows. Now the days are getting shorter though... but all the light that's out there will reach inside the shop. I made some photos too, this time they came out right. The shop is bigger than my photos show. I quess I was aiming more my own jewellery :)

Ma sain kätte uued ehtekivide pesad, kandilised, suurusega 12x10mm. Ja pean neid ju kasutama ka, eks.

Mõtlesin, et teen midagi hästi lihtsat. Et nagu üks ainuke kivi keset mustrilist plaati. Ja enamus on metalli. Ja teeks lilli, teeks hästi palju lilli... ja helmeid, paneks kohe kolme värvi helmeid! Kahes suuruses kolme värvi helmeid... Ning lillevaniku ripatsi alla ning kett, vot see võiks olla mustriline ja kohe pikk. Pikem kui tavaliselt kaelakeedes kasutan...
...aga siis juba ju käekett ka... ja kõrvarõngad...

I received my new rhinestone settings, with octagon shape and in size 12x10mm. And ofcourse I should use them, right?

I was thinking of making something simple. Like one single rhinestone on a textured metal plate. And most of the piece is from metal. And some flowers, yes, lots of flowers... and beads, lets use three different colors of beads! Three colors of beads in two sizes... The flowers will drape down from the center piece and the chain, yes the chain should be textured and long. Longer than I usually add to a necklace...
...but I should also make a bracelet... and a pair of earrings...

Käekett lilledega, iga metallist lille südamikku panin vintage swarovski Siam kristalli. Valmis hetk tagasi. Aga muidu on kett lihtne. Ideaalselt kiire näputöö, kui pole palju aega.

Bracelet with flowers. In the center of every metal flower I added a vintage swarovski Siam rhinestone. But otherwize this was easy to make. A perfect project when there's not too much time to spend.

Asi, mida olen tahtnud proovida ammu-ammu. Kas eestikeelne vaste on rõngastest punumine? Ühesõnaga olen tahtnud seda ammu proovida, kuid asi jäi ikka laiskuse taha. Ostetud rõngad said niigi ruttu otsa ja ise keeratud ja saetud võtsid liiga palju pingutust (10 rõngast ja sõrmed saagimisest valusad ja krampis). Aga kui üks hulgimüüja vahetas 0,8mm traadist rõngad 1,0mm traadi vastu ja ütles, et esimesi enam ei hakka müümagi, siis olin hädas. Sest viimased ei sobi teiste metallvidinatega. Leidsin ühe tehase nimekirjast 0,9mm traadist rõngad ja tellisin sealt, mis see nüüd oligi... 5000tk. Aga kui need kohale jõudsid, tuli välja, et ikkagi olid liiga jämedast traadist - ju see 0,1mm vahe oli just see piisav. Ja niimoodi tekkiski rõngaste üleliigne varu 5000tk.
Õpetusi otsisin CGMaille.com lehelt, ilusad selged pildid. Antud käekett on Full Persian. Sünnipäevakink mu vennale :)

Chainmaille is a technique I wanted to try out for so long time ago. But I never had enough rings to start. The ones I bought from shops run out fast enough and making my own took a lot of time and strenght (after sawing 10 rings my fingers were aching as hell). But when my wholesaler changed out 0,8mm wire rings to I use a lot and said they'll never carry those again I started to look elsewhere. Found a manufacturer of 0,9mm wire rings and ordered some... 5000pcs. When they arrived I found out they don't fit with my jewelry findings and voila - just like that I had overstock of 5000pcs rings.
I looked for tutorials from CGMaille.com site, very nice and clear pictures there. This bracelet is Full Persian. It's a birthday present for my brother :)

I'm taking a break from my blog and webshops. From internet and my computer too. When I return, I think it will be something like a week from now, I hope I'll be free from eyeglasses and contact lenses :) Returning to jewelry making and custom works takes time. I'm heading to the clinic tomorrow.

Starburst necklace

Siin kaelakees on koos nii uus kui vana :) Vintage swarovski Blue Opal ning uus(uuem) värv White Opal Star Shine. Viimasel pildil on näha pisut seda sooja kuma, mispärast need kivid mulle eriti erilised on. Tillukesed kivid ümber keksmiku on alla 2mm läbimõõduga ja need on liimitud. Päriselus - loomulikult - palju sädelevamad!

Something old and something new are combined here in this necklace :) Vintage swarovski Blue Opal and new (newer) color White Opal Star Shine. On the last photo I almost succeeded to capture the warm glow that makes these stones so irresistable for me. The tiny stones around the center are under 2mm in diameter and are attached with glue. In real life -ofcourse - they sparkle a lot more!

Jagaksin ühte ostu ja vaimustust ühe järjekordse swarovski värvi vastu :) Indian Sapphire, seda toodetakse tänapäevani ja mis seal salata, eks nõudlust ju on. Ma olen oksjonitel silma peal hoidnud ning tihti läheb hind minule kättesaamatusse kõrgusse. Ükskord mul oli õnne!

Indian Sapphire on tagasihoidlik sinine, pastelne ja soe. See värv mõjub turvaliselt ja rahulikult. Mul on ette näidata ainult üks varasem töö 2010 novembrist, nimelt pross, kus keskel on Indian Sapphire kivi. See pross on hetkel müügil Les Petites poes. Prossis on nii hematiidi värvi kui ka swarovski Morion kristalle juures. Nüüd, kus ma sain 19SS suuruses kive, saan ma teha käeketi nendest :P

I would like to share one of my purchases and admiration for another Swarovski color :) Indian Sapphire, it is still in production today and no wonder - it is quite wanted. I've been keeping my eye on auctions with that color rhinestones and the price always goes to unreachable hights for me. Once I had luck!

Indian Sapphire is modest, soft and pastel blue. I have made only one item with that color - it's a brooch from November 2010. It is on sale on Les Petites. I also used in that brooch hematite and Swarovski Morion color. Now that I have size 19SS chatons I can make a rhinestone bracelet :P

I had plans to go to Tallinn but it didn't work out. So I made some name tags. It is absolutely mysterious how they always run out unexpectedly. I could notice it a bit sooner and make some more...
I wonder what has happened to those who asked the name and contacts of my stamp maker, so they could order their own? Have they received it yet and are already using?

Eks ma tegelikult teadsin, et see on vaid aja küsimus, kui hakkan lühtri osi ehetesse panema :) Ega edevusel pole ju piire ja pealegi, miks peakski üks kaunilt sätendav, peenelt lihvitud kristallklaasist asi rippuma ainult lae all? Samahästi võiks see rippuda ju kaelas. Kõrvarõngaks on see kahjuks liiga raske, ma proovisin...

Need kristallklaasist ripatsid pole perfektsed, on päevinäinud ja mõned täkked ja kriimud peal. Mind see ei häiri, panin juurde swarovski Aquamarine siniseid ehtekive kahte suurust ja Tšehhi klaaspärli ning seemnehelmeid.

I guess I knew that it was only a matter of time until I start to hang chandelier components into my jewellery :) Ceiling is not a limit and why on earth should such a sparkling beauty with so many facets hand only on a lamp? So I put it in a necklace. It's too heavy to be in earrings though, I tried...

These pretty crystal glass drops are not perfect. They have seen times and have some tiny nics and scratches on the surface. It doesn't bother me, so I added some two different size swarovski chatons in Aquamarine, Czech glass pearl and some seedbeads.

Siin nad ongi! Sellised klõps-kõrvarõngad nagu olen ei-tea-mis-ajast tahtnud teha :) Et kaunistatud osa jääb kõrva peale ning klõpsu osa tugevus oleks reguleeritav väikese kruviga. Ma saan teha neid suuremaid ka!

Here they are! The kind of clip earrings I've wanted to make for don't know how long :) So that the rhinestone beaded part would be on the ear and the strenght of the clip could be adjusted with small screw. I can make these in bigger sizes too!

Aitäh kõikidele, kes andsid vastukaja eelmisele postitusele. Nüüd on asjad nii kaugel, et olen otsustanud teha ühe kollektsiooni mitmes eksemplaris, et näha kas üldse saan sellise asjaga hakkama. Numbriks on maksimum 4 eksemplari. Tähtajaks oleks... no näiteks talv? :)

Siin mõned vanemad tööd, mis blogisse pole saanud. See on kopsakas komplekt, millest idee järgi pidi tulema kollektsioon. Kuid aega polnud piisavalt ning asjad läksid teistmoodi. See värvikombinatsioon on selline, mis aeg-ajalt tuleb ikka ja jälle tagasi.

Thank you all that gave feedback on the previous post. By now I've decided to give it a try and make a whole collection in multible copies. To see if I can do this. I'm trying for 4 copies max. Deadline... well maybe winter? :)

Here are some older work that didn't make it to the blog. It's a big set that I planned to make a collectionout of. But there was no time and things went the other way. This color combination is the kind that keeps haunting me in every now and then.

Ma olen mõtetes kahevahel...
Mõnesid mu ehteid võib leida kolmest Tallinna poest ning samas müün ma ka netis kahes kohas. Müük pole miskit meeletut ja alati jääb mingeid jääke, aga... Mul on tekkinud probleem - kuidas jagada oma ehted mitme koha vahel? Ja kui ma teen näiteks 20+ ehtest koosneva kollektsiooni, siis on mul alati jube valus see osadeks lammutada ja mitmesse kohta laiali saata. Kollektsioonis on mul tavaliselt ehted, millest annab kokku panna mitmeid komplekte, ehetel on sama teema, sarnased materjalid. Samas, kui kogu kollektsiooni ühte kohta viiksin... Aga poed tahavad, et oleks võimalikult suur valik ja mina tahan, et mu töö jõuaks võimalikult mitmesse kohta. Ja vot, niimoodi painabki mind küsimus - kas teha ühest asjast mitu eksemplari?

Ma kunagi olin surmkindel, et ehe ainueksemplarina on jubeoluline. Ja samas on mul nii kahju inimestest, kes mu poole pöörduvad mingi ehte sooviga, mis on müüdud. Praeguseks olen teinud mõnda ehet veel kord, selliseid lihtsamaid. Näiteks need PinkGivré kõrvarõngad, üks paar on müügis, teine minu oma :) Need on olnud mu lemmik-kõrvarõngad, mida olen kandnud juba 5 kuud. Ja mind ei häiri, et on üks samasugune paar veel, olgu või kümme! Kuigi kümme vist oleks juba piiri peal :) Aga nüüd ma pole enam üldse nii kindel, et käsitsi tehtud ehe peab olema ainueksemplar... On see mõte andestamatu? Kas mitme eksemplari tegemine tähendab, et ehe on vähem väärtuslik või vähem käsitöö-disain?

I'm having trouble deciding what is right...
There are three shops in Tallinn that have some of my jewellery on sale and I also have two little shops in the web. Sales are not huge, and there's always those "leftovers" that never reach the buyer but... I'd like to know - how to divide my jewellery between different places? And when I make a collection of 20+ items it's really sad to take it into pieces and send them in small groups to shops. But if I send the whole collection into one place... In collection I put jewellery that have the same theme, it's possible to make many sets and are made with similar materials. But shop owners like to have as big assortment and variety as possible and I'd like my jewellery to be as many places as possible. And therefore I come to a question - should I make more than one copy?

I was once so sure that it is important to make only one copy. But I feel really bad when I get a request from somebody and I have to tell it's sold and not made anymore. By now I have made some copies of simpler items. For example these PinkGivré earrings - I have one pair in the shop and one pair for myself :) And these have been my favourite earrings to wear for five months now. And it doesn't bother me that there is another pair, I dont care if there's even ten pairs. Although I thinks that would be the limit :) But now I'm not sure anymore that handmade jewellery can't have copies... Is it a horrible thought? Does making copies devaluates the item?

I joined the DaWanda campaign "DaWanda Cup" that brings prices down 11% . So I looked around the house and found some jewellery to list too. These pieces have traveled from shop to shp until they ended up back home and I forgot them. I listed them with the price they once had and now with sale you can find a bargain. Looking around at DaWanda I found this great polymer clay flower shop (see the photo above). Miniature flowers!

Ehete tegemine on muutunud mulle raskeks. Vähemalt praegu küll. Poolikuid töid on terve laud täis ja üha enam on ebaõnnestunud katsetusi. Päris-päris uusi ehteid veel pole, ent palju varasemat on pildistamata... Palju kõrvarõngaid, mis on omavahel sarnasemad kui mulle meeldiks. Kõik on kaootiline ja poolik.

Näiteks need siin, kõrvarõngad ja käekett, polnud üldse planeeritud kui komplekt. Lihtsalt pildistamisel avastasin, et sobivad kokku :)

Making jewellery is getting more difficult. At least now. Unfinished work is covering my desk and many times I have failed when trying to make my idea real. There are no new pieces but there are many older ones that I haven't photographed... Lots of earrings that are way too similar to each other than I would like. Everything seems without a purpose and on the half way.

For example these here, a bracelet and pair of earrings, were not made as a set. When photographing I just found out they make a good match :)

Kunagi, kui sai tellitud neid kõrvarõnga toorikuid, oli mul hirm, et need muudavad ehte liiga kalliks. Samas meeldisid need mulle tohutult. Alguses andis mängida, sest ei osanud neid kasutada, aga aja möödudes sai valmis kõrvarõngastest minev kaup :) ...ja siis said nad mul otsa.
Nüüd on uus partii kohal ja esimesed kõrvarõngad valmis. Preciosa kristallid (Sahara) ning Tšehhi rohelised ja roosad klaashelmed.

When I first ordered these earring blanks I was afraid that these will cause too high price when earrings are finished. But I really liked them. I had to try hard to find the best way to use them, but in time I found out that these became quite a hit :) ... and then I run out of the blanks.
Now these are restocked and the first pair is finished. Preciosa crystals (Sahara) with Czech green and pink glass beads.

Clamper Bracelet

Esimene katsetus kasutada sellist käevõru-toorikut. See avaneb kaunistatud osast ja on tagant vedruga nii, et sulgub iseenesest. Minu tehtud ongi ainult see kaunistatud osa klaaspärlite, helmeste ning Tšehhoslovakkias valmistatud ehtekividega. Paras pusimine oli. Natuke viltu läks ka :)

This is my first attempt to use a clamper bracelet base. It opens from above where are the beaded plates with rhinestones and has a spring that keeps it closed. The clamper base was ready-made, I only added the filigrees and beads, pearls and rhinestones from Czechoslovakia. It was quite a handful to put together. The plates are bit off the center too :)

Mõned värvid on pidevalt mul ehetes... näiteks must. Teised värvid tulevad aeg-ajalt tagasi, nagu korallpunane-türkiis-pärli kombinatsioon. Huvitav, kas mäletate veel "Blue Heavens" ehteid? Vot see kõrvarõngapaar nagu oleks väike meenutus.

Mängime! Niisiis on siin välja toodud ja nummerdatud suurem osa selleaastasest kevad-suvisest kollektsioonist. Siin on kaelakeesid (1, 3, 4, 5), käekette (2, 6, 8, 9), kõrvarõngaid (7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21), sõrmuseid (16, 17) ja juukse aksessuaare (13, 20). Kõigepealt vabandan, et nii pikka aega blogist eemal olin. Aeg kaob ja see, mis oli, ei ole enam. Kuidagi kipub nii olema, et kui hakkan kuskil äparduma, siis tuleb jamasid igast suunast. Mõelda vaid, kui tore oleks, kui saaks vahest teha endale "restarti" nagu arvutile. Katsun nüüd ennast uuesti kurssi viia, mis blogides ning mujal toimub.

Panen siia silmailuks ühed suuremad kõrvarõngad. Kusjuures nende tagused on pildistamise ajaks laenatud, sest mul tuli terve tellimus kõrvarõngatoorikuid ilma tagusteta :) Aga tellisin juurde ja ehk tulevad järgmiseks nädalaks.

First of all I have to apoligize for not been able to post anything for so long. Time goes so fast and things that were aren't anymore. It seems when mishaps starts they don't seem to end. Sometimes I wish I can "restart" myself like a computer. So now I'm trying to surf around and find out what's happening in blogs and elswhere.

Here's a pair of post earrings. I had to lend the earring backs for the photoshoot because I received tha last order earring blanks without them :) But I ordered some more and I hope they arrive next week.

Kaks paari kõrvarõngaid tillukeste ehtekividega. Esimesed on vintage Swarovski Crystal Comet Argent (CCA), mis on hõbe-metallik värvi ning peegeldab nagu peegel :) Teine paar on uhiuute Preciosa Bermuda Blue kristallidega. Oi see on armas värv. Otsevaates on kivike sügav-sügav sinine lausa lillaka varjundiga, külje pealt aga hele türkiis!

Two pairs of earrings. First one with vintage swarovski Crystal Comet Argent (CCA) rhinestones. It silvery and reflects like mirror :) Second pair is with brand new Preciosa Bermuda Blue rhinestones. Well that's a very fine colour, first glance with deep dark (even purple) hues and then changing into light beachy turquoise blue!

Uus pross, mille sain valmis eile. Siin on Crystal Comet Argent ehtekivid kolmes suuruses ning hematiidi ja musta värvi ehtekive. Proovisin siin katta ühe metallplaadikese pisikeste ehtekividega. Väikesed ehtekivid sätendavad pööraselt :P

Hematiidivärvi kivid on klaasist, ülejäänud on Swarovski toodang. Kõik kivid on vintage.

New brooch I finished yesterday. Here are Crystal Comet Argent rhinestones in three sizes plus black and some hematite color rhinestones. This brooch includes my first succeeded attempt to cover a metal plate with tiny rhinestones. Thes little ones sparkle like crazy :P

Hematite colored cabs are glass, rest of rhinestones are Swarovski crystal. All are vintage.

Viimasel ajal on kuidagi eriti silma torganud teiste ehtetegijate blogides pildid nende helmenurkadest. Ja need on alati olnud sellised armsad ja nii korras... Et südames hakkas kripeldama ning valmistusin koristamiseks. Suurpuhastust ei teinud, oli vaja välja mõelda, mida nende tohutute kilekottidega peale hakata. Kunagi oli mul idee, et metallvidinad on nendes tööriista "tornides", helmed kummutis ning kui oli pooleli mingi projekt, siis korjasin minigrip kotikesed vajalikud materjalidega omale kandiku peale. Aga siis juhtus, et need ei mahtunud enam nendesse tornidesse ära ja terve laud oli neid jälle täis. Ja samuti ei osanud ma kuhugi panna ehteid...

Aga ümberkorraldustest. Tellisin väiksemaid tööriista hoiusahtleid Anttilast juurdne ning tõstsin neid ümber. Lauapealses ühes suures tornis on metallvidinad hõbe, kuld ning läikiv-vasksed ning kahes väiksemas antiikvasksed. Ehtekivid on valgetes sahtlites (kui keegi teab, kus neid veel saada on, palun kirjuta!) ning klaashelmed helepruunis kummutis. Valgete sahtlite peal on panipaigad ehete jaoks. Helepruun CD-riiul on seemnehelmeste ja lintide päralt. Ahjaa, üks suurem sahtlitorn on veel, seal on poolvääriskividest helmed (kummuti peal) ning hõbedast helmed ja tarvikud. Ja siis on mul veel riiulitäis erinevaid traate, metallvidinaid ning seemnehelmeid. Need armsad karbid on pärit Kristiinekeskuse Jyskist. See on nüüd kõige korralikum versioon mu meisterdamise paigast ning rohkem korras ei saa see vist olema. Seetõttu pean hetkeseisu siin fikseerima :)

This is my working space. On the desk there are "towers" with metal findings. I got smaller ones from Anttila. Theoretically work should take place on the white tray but keeps getting on the desk surface. I keep my rhinestones in the white drawers and glass beads in the beige drawers. On the top of beige drawers I have my semiprecios stone beads and sterling and fine silver beads and findings.

I found a temporary solution for storing finished jewellery on top of the white drawers. A glass lid box and "tower" keep jewllery safe from breaking and free from dust. On the shelves there are wires, findings and seedbeads in cute boxes with labels (boxes are from Jysk). These shelves are my little beadshops mdmB-Supplies stock.

This is a progress and my working space continues to change. But It's never tidy nor neat :)

Urban Beautiful Design Competition

Võtsin julguse kokku ja esitasin ka enda töö käimasolevasse ehtekonkurssi. Teemaks on Urban Beautiful ning seekord tegin hoopis kõrvarõngad. Nende konkurssidega on alati see asi, et mingi konks või tingimus on sees. Ja peaaegu alati, kui sponsoriks on Swarovski, siis on kasutatava materjali peamiseks nõudeks, et enamus on swarovski toodang. Seal oli vist 60% peab olema Swarovski Elements, ent ühtegi teist brändi kristalli, lihvitud või pressitud klaasi ning üleüldse konkurentide toodangut ei tohi olla :)

Oh, selle kõrvarõngapaariga pusisin päris kaua. Aga valmis said. Värvidest on siin Montana, Amethyst, Purple Velvet, Jet ning Vitrail Dark. Täpsem materjalide kirjeldus on postituse lõpus.

Nagu ikka, on see pildistamine paras peavalu, sest ka pildistamisel on ju tingimused. Peab olema valge taust ning üles laadida saab kaks pilti. Kõrvarõngaste värvid on nii tumedad ja taust nii hele ja üldse tekkis vahel mõte alla anda sest päevavalgus hakkas otsa saama. Edasipääsemine finaali on küll väga ebatõenäoline, aga samas arvan, et kahetsen, kui poleks osa võtnud :) Hoian ise kullakestele pöialt. Hääli saab anda nii: 1 punkt "Good Effort", 2 punkti "Like", 3 punkti "Love". Hääletada saab siin. Kogu albumit näeb siin.

So I gathered my courage and entered to a design competition. Theme is Urban Beautiful and this time I made a pair of earrings. The thing with the competitions is that there is always a catch. Usually when Swarovski is a sponsor then it means that material used should be produced by Swarovski. I recall the design had to be made 60% from Swarovski Elements. But using any other crystal, cut or pressed glass or any other competitive products is prohibited :)

Oh, these earrings took ages to make. But I finally finished. Colors are Montana, Amethyst, Purple Velvet, Jet and Vitrail Dark. More info about used materials is at the end of this post.

As I feared the photographing was a nightmare for there are also rules of how the designs must be presented. White background and 2 photos to upload (choosing the best 2 out of many average photos...). The colors of the earrings are quite dark and the background is so white that I thought it doesn't work and the daylight was faiding. Getting through to the final is unlikely, but I know I'd regret if I didn't take part. So I hold my fingers crossed for my little ones. Voting is like this: 1 point given for "Good Effort", 2 points given for "Like", 3 points given for "Love". 20 designs chosen from the 50 that received the highest ratings will go to the final. Väike kokkuvõte vahepeal hangitud asjadest! Ma ei suutnud oma õnne uskuda, kui võitsin oksjonil täispakendi pisikesi swarovski hõbe-metallik ehtekive! Värvi nimi on Crystal Comet Argent Light. Mul pole õrna aimugi, mida täpselt nendega teen, aga kui õnnestub, siis vbl saan ka sama värvi pisut suuremaid ehtekive. Teine pakend siin on Light Amethyst lihvitud kandilised kivid, selle sain mõne aja eest.
Teine suur leid on antiikvasksed kristallidega kettakesed! No andis neid alles otsida!
Kolmas täiendus on raamatute-ajakirjade koha pealt. Nimelt on täienenud Beads Bee ajakirjade valik (nüüd olemas vol. 1-24) ning sain lõpuks kätte ka helmepõimimiste sarja Brick Stitch'i raamatu, mis on siis oranži värvi.

About some purchases I've made... I couldn't believe my luck when I won an auction of full package with vintage swarovski tiny rhinestones in Crystal Comet Argent Light! I don't know what I'll do with them yet but I'm so thrilled. Even more, if everything goes well I will receive same rhinestones in bigger size! Here you can see another package of vintage swarovski octagon stones in Amethyst Light that I got a while back.
Another great find was antique copper crystal rondelles. These weren't easy to find!
And I have bought many books since I last blogged about them. For example I now have all Beads Bee magazine copies from vol 1-24. And I managed to get the orange book from the beading series. Orange book is about brick stitching

Paistab, et ei saanud pidama. Esimesed kõrvakad on hetkel lemmikud. Tegu uute ehtekividega, valmistatud Preciosa (Tšehhi) poolt ning viimistluse nimi on Sahara. Otsevaates on kivi tagasihoidlikku sinist värvi, külje pealt lööb aga kollaseid-oranže sädemeid :)

Ai, näpud valutavad nende tillukeste kivide pesadesse kinnitamisest...

Looks like I'm in a roll. First pair is my new favourite. I used brand new rhinestones, made by Preciosa (Czech) with special coating called Sahara. Stones are modest blue with yellow and orange sparks when looking at an angle :)

Mnjah, alles ma halasin, et pingutan materjalide kuhjamisega üle ja nüüd jälle...
Selline pidulik komplekt. Mõte oli alguses teha käekett ja kaelakee ning siis juurde lihtsamad kõrvakad. Ent ma tegin kaelakee ja käeketi kinnise kaunistused nii täpselt ühesugused ja veel peegelpildis! Need kohe pidid saama kõrvarõngasteks (sest vaevalt ma enam suudan nii ühesuguseid teha). Kõrvarõngaste mõte ei andnudki enam rahu. Ja nii tegin käeketi ja kaelakee jaoks uued kaunistused, mis nagu ma arvasingi, ei tulnudki nii ühesugused.

See suur ehtekivi, mis on jubearmsa lihviga (nagu maleruudustik ja sätendab nagu segane) ja jubearmsa värvitooniga on muidugi swarovski artikkel 4461 ja värviks kuninglik Burgundy. Punased helmed on Tšehhi klaas ning pärlid samuti Tšehhi klaasist. Tšehhi pärlid on kaunid, palju ilusamad ja kvaliteetsemad kui Hiina omad, aga nende hankimine läheb üha raskemaks, sest Hiina omad on odavamad ja neid on nii palju-palju igal pool...

Not long back I felt regret of using loads of beads and rhinestones in one piece of jewellery and now I did it again...
Here is quite a fancy set. The idea was to make a necklace and bracelet with modest pair of earrings. But the motifs that were ment to adorn the clasps came out so identical and symmetrical! They had to become earrings (I doubt I could make another pair so alike). That idea didn't go away. So I made another motifs for clasps and as I already guessed they didn't turn out so identical as the first pair.

The big rhinestones with gorgeous faceting (like chekerboard and sparkles like crazy) with beautiful color is a swarovski art. 4461 cushion stone, color is royal Burgundy. Red glass beads from Czech and the imitation pearls are also Czech glass. Czech glass pearls are so pretty, prettier than the ones produced in China. But it's getting more difficult to get Czech pearls because Chinese pearls are everywhere and most of the beadshops are replacing because of the cheaper price...

Veel midagi, mis ootas oma aega lõpetamate asjade hulgas. Tookordse kollektsiooni jaoks lükitud helmed ja valmistatud motiivid jäid seisma, kuniks täna sain selle kaelakeena lõpetatud. Igakord kui teen sellise ehte, milles palju helmeid ja hulga ehtekive, hakkab mind närima kahjutunne. Milleks nii palju? Kes sellist tahaks kanda? Ja kus? Kes sellist ostab? Sest mida rohkem materjale, seda suuremaks läheb hind...

Minult on küsitud viimasel ajal, et kuidas ma jõuan. Noh, täiskohaga töö kõrvalt ja nii. Teate, ma ei jõuagi... Palun andestage, kui ma ei jõua meilidele vastata koheselt ja ehtepoodides (DaWanda ja Disainimaja) ning mu väikses materjalipoes venivad postitamised lubatud 3-5 tööpäevast juba reeglina 5 tööpäevaks. Something that waited in box of unfinished things. When I made this collection I strung beads and made some rhinestone motifs that became a necklace today. Everytime I make a piece of jewellery like this (with lots of beads and rhinestones) I get this feeling of regret. Why such amount of material? Who would want this one? Where can it be worn? Who would buy this? The more materials the higher the price...

Lately I've been asked this question of how can I manage to do all. Beside my full-time work and all. Well I don't actually... So please forgive me for not answering your mails right away and shipping time in my jewellery shops (DaWanda and Disainimaja) and supply-shop will be up to 5 workingdays. I'm sure I'll soon be back on track! And big thanks for the buyers! You give me the reason to try harder and keep going.

Herringbone / Ndebele Stitched Bracelet

Leidsin, et Miyukid sobivad Tšehhi seemnehelmestega rohkem kokku kui TOHOd. Viimased on nagu suuremad ja need valged näiteks panevad käeketi serva natuke lokkima. Et siis tulevikus katsun TOHOsid eraldi kasutada. Kasutasin Nymo D niiti, mistõttu ehe drapeerub hästi. Käekett on 4,2cm lai, helmestega osa 15,4cm pikk, koos kinnisega 17cm, lisaks veel 5cm pikenduskett. Mustri sain Maaritilt.
See armas vaskne käbi tuli Ameerikast ja pidi ootama mõned kuud, kuna ma lihtsalt unustasin ära, et osalesin ühes ühistellimuses... Aitäh tellimuse koostajatele selle vedamise eest ja selle eest, et mulle meelde tuletasite :)

I found out that Miyuki seedbeads go better with Czechs then TOHOs. TOHO seedbeads are bit bigger and that's why the white beads make the border of this bracelet a bit wavy. Note for myself: use TOHOs separately. I used Nymo D. This bracelet is 4,2cm wide, beaded section is 15,4cm and with clasp it is 17cm long, plus 5cm extender chain. Pattern is from Maarit.
This cute sopper color metal cone is from the States and had to wait some months because I forgot I took part from an ordering... Thanks for the people who organized this and thank you for reminding me :)

Need to Bead

Viimasel ajal on eriti hinge kraapinud soov helmespõimingut teha. Ja muidugi kalasaba tehnikat (herringbone/ndebele), sest see ju mu lemmik :) Kui sain 40kg Tšehhi seemnehelmeid, siis läks asi susisema. Aga helmespõimingud võtavad ju aega! Ja kui ma juba alustan, siis ei suuda ma seda pooleli jätta ega käest ära panna. No olgu. Ja siis nägin Lohhi/Skvipe blogis seda kaelakeed! Nüüd olin juba kindel, et lähiajal võtan seemnehelmed ette. Aga mida täpsemalt teha, ei teadnud. Ning siis nägin Maariti käeketti! Oh ja ah, see muster on nii ilus! Kirjutasin talle järgmisel sekundil ja küsisin luba mustrit kasutada, mille ma sain koos täpsustustega, aitäh! Ta on nutikalt kasutanud ristpiste mustrit!

Kuid uskumatu!!! Mul POLE piisavalt seemnehelmeid! Et saaks rahulikult värvikombinatsioonidega mängida, ja 11/0 suurust just... Viimasest Tšehhi laadungist oli mul (ainult) poolekilone 11/0 oliivroheline läbipaistmatu sort, muideks jubenunnu värv :) Ja sellest lähtusin. Kombineerisin TOHO ja Miyuki seemnehelmestega. Ma kardan, et mul saab see roosa otsa enne, kui käekett valmis... Alustasin eile, tundub, et lõpetan täna.

Lately I've been feeling need to work with seedbeads. And in herringbone/ndebele stitch ofcourse, because it's my favourite :) When I got 40kg seedbeads from Czech I coulnd't resist the idea. But seedbeading takes so much time! And I know when I start I cannot put it away and I'll end up working for hours'n'hours. Well... And then I saw Lohh/Skvipe's necklace! It was decided I'll start soon but with what I had no idea. And then I saw Maarit's bracelet! Oh my, this pattern is gorgeous! Next second I sent her an email with asking her permission and some questions. I received an answer soon, thank you! She's so clever, she used embroidery pattern!

But unbelievable!!! I DON'T HAVE enough seedbeads! Enough to be able to play with color combinations, in 11/0 size... What I had was (only) 1/2kg package of opaque olive green seedbeads from the last Czech order, that is by the way most lovely color :) So I started with this. I combined some TOHO and Miyuki seedbeads. I'm afraid I'll run out of the pink ones before I'm finished... I started with this yesterday and it looks like I'll be finishing today.

Üks paar pikki kõrvarõngaid ning käekett. Ma ei tea, mis mul hakkas, et ma käeketile seemnehelmestest keti tegin!? Ju see oli mingi hulluse hoog, mil mu mõistus mind maha jättis. Seemnehelmeste suurus on 10/0 ehk 2mm. Tulemus on ju igati OK, aga vaevalt ma seda nii naljalt kordan...
Tegin ka roosa nupuga ehtenõelu leeklambiga. Ning tegin kohe sellise suurema hulga. Ei tea täpselt palju neid seal on, aga kindel on see, et otsa saavad nad igaljuhul rutem kui ma tahan.

Ohoo, lugejaid Follower'i kaudu on kogunenud ilus ümmargune number. Paistab, et on aeg tasuta kingituse loosimiseks.

A pair of long earrings and a bracelet. I'm not sure what happened but I made a chain out of seedbeads!? I must have bee out of my mind! The size of these seedbeads is 10/0, that's 2mm. I do like the result but I don't hink I'll repeat this time consuming project in near future...
I also made some cute little rose ball pins. And I made a lot. Not sure how many are there exactly but I am more than convinced that these will run out much faster than I would like.

Punane.
Miyuki seemnehelmed 15/0, swarovski Cherry Red 19ss, Tšehhi crystal 19ss, Tšehhi klaashelmed...
Ma alustasin selle prossi tegemist tookord, kui tegin klaaspärlitest ja punasega kollektsiooni Lipstick Red. Ehk siis juba päris hulk aega tagasi.

Les Petites'i poes on nüüd peaaegu täiesti uus valik minu ehteid ning samuti vahetasin välja Vene tn 12-7 väikeses maaligaleriis olevad ehted (sinna läksid ka näiteks NavyBlue&Crystal ehted). Käisin täna õhtulveel Meribeli Käsitöösalongist läbi (Kristiine keskuses) ning vahetasin ka seal kõik ehted ära.

Beginning of this brooch goes back to the time when I made a jewellery collection with red and pearl color: Lipstick Red. So it took a while to make.

Sädelevad pikad kõrvarõngad, ohtralt uusi swarovski kive (värv khaki) ning metallikrohelisi seemnehelmeid (TOHO, Jaapan). Kõrvarõngastel on ka vintage swarovski ehtekivid azalea viimistlusega, mis helkleb rohelist, fuktsiaroosat ja kollast. Siin on ka imepeenikest tahkudega palliketti ning ümmargusi klaashelmeid.

Custom work.
Sparkly and long earrings with lots of brand new swarovskies (Khaki color) and green iris seedbeads (TOHO Japan). These earrings have vintage swarovski stones with rare Azalea coating that shows green, fuchsia and a bit of yellow. I also put some delicate extra fine diamond cut ball chain here that sparkles a bit.

Saphiret

Vahepeal näitan ehteid, mida ma ise pole teinud. Need on saphiret klaasist ning pärit kuskil viktooria ajastust või nii. Kaks prossi, millest ühel on kivid mati pinnaga ning kõrvarõngapaar, millele on pandud baasmetallist kivi pesa (mis omal ajal oli hõbedane või hõbetatud) külge 800 prooviga hõbekonksud.

See on päris huvitav jälgida, kuidas inimesed (kes nagu minagi on sedasorti klaasist täiesti sisse võetud) otsivad nagu verekoerad uut informatsiooni. Nüüd on päris põnevaks kiskunud, sest inimesed on jagunenud kahte leeri. Ühed kes vannuvad, et tegu on unikaalse klaasiga, mis kindlalt sisaldab kulda ja mida enam ei osata toota. Ja teised, kes (sinna kuuluvad ka näiteks inimesed, kes on klaasikunstnikud) loodavad, et klaasi "retsept" ei ole kadunud ning uuemat sorti saphiret klaasi (mida nimet. ka sappharine) saab valmistada asendades kuld vasega. Ja isegi võib olla, et on see võimalik, et ka tänapäeval saaks seda toota! Väga põnev.

I'll show some jewellery that is not made by me. These were made with saphiret glass and from victorian era or so. Two brooches, one with frosted other with faceted stones and a pair of earrings with 800 silver hooks attached to a base metal stone setting that was in it's days silver colored (or silver plated).

It is quite interesting to watch how people (who are like me fascinated by this sort of glass) look for new information. Now it's getting rather interestin because there are two main opinions out there. One is (as most thought before) that saphiret is a true rarity glass that was made by pouring liquid gold into saphire blue glass and that it cannot be made anymore. The newer view is that the receipt may have not been lost and the newer saphiret (sappharine) was made with copper instead of gold. And it could be that this glass may put in production today! Very interesting indeed.

NavyBlue&Crystal

Uus komplekt. Olen siin blogis varem hädaldanud, et swarovski värv Navy Blue ei sobi kohe mitte siniste helmestega kokku... et pole seda õiget tooni. Ning kuna seda värvi swarovski enam ei tooda, siis ei saa ka õigeid helmeid ropu raha eestki mitte.

Aga vot, hiljutise seemnehelmeste tellimusega saabusid ka läbipaistmatud sinised, mis on nii-nii sarnased. Värvikoodiks on 33060 ja tšehhid nimetavad seda Royal Blue. Kuigi need suured helmed ei paista sugugi seemnehelmeste moodi, on need seda siiski. On päris suure auguga nii, et pidin väikeste seemnehelmestega neid täitma, noh et ei loksuks. Kristallidega ehtenõelad on uhiuued, värskelt saabunud Singapurist :)

New set. I've complained before here in this blog that sw Navy Blue doesn't go well with glass beads... And there's zillions of different blues out there. And sinze this color is out of Swarovski's production I can't get any beads even if I had loads of money.

But still. With my latest seedbead order I also received opaque blue beads that look so similar! The color code is 33060 and czech call it Royal Blue. Those big beads are also seedbeads although they don't look so. They have huge holes so I had to fill them with smaller seedbeads to keep them centered. Rhinestone headpins are brand new just arrived from Singapur :)

Teine seeria prosse. Need kandilised metallplaadid on hästi kauni ja peene mustriga! Kuigi pildilt paistab pross kohati läbi, on ka neil prossidel topelt plaadid, et ka teiselt poolt kena oleks. Kahju, et niimoodi topelt kasutamisega need nii ruttu otsa saavad. Prossidel on läbimõõt 4cm.

Ja veel. Sain ühe suure tellimuse kätte. Tšehhi seemnehelmed. Oh ja ah, kui armsad. Muidugi nägin tellimuse koostamisega roppu vaeva ja aega läks ka. Kuu aega panin esialgset nimekirja kokku, mida vahepeal pidin sada korda muutma ning lõpuks polnud sellest mingit kasu ja pidin otsast peale alustama... Mul on vist midagi viga, sest... Ei jõua ära oodata, millal saaks veel tellida!

Another series of brooches. These square-shaped stamped filigree plates are gorgeous! And although you see on the photos that there are holes to see through I did put them double so backside would look nice. It's a shame that using double per brooch means that I need to order some more. Brooches measure 4cm across.

And more. I received an order. Czech seedbeads. Pretty little things. The process of ordering was not pretty at all. And it took so much time. The whole month I tried to put together a primar list of beads making inquiries of what is in stocks and for the prices and then when all the work was done I had to start from the beginning again... There's something wrong with me, because.. I can't wait to order some more!

Chandeliers

Kas on teil olnud mingi ehe, mida on peaaegu võimatu pildile saada? Need kõrvarõngad on mul tehtud novembris vist... Ja olen neid pildistanud nii ja naa, aga ei saanud normaalset pilti, mida sobiks näidata. Nüüd siis, uuel aastal, õnnestus :)

Sellised kõrvarõngad võtavad valmimisel korralikult aega. Ühes kõrvarõngas on 12+1 ripatsit ning igas ripatsis on 4 3mm helmest. Aga tulemus on seda väärt :)

Have you ever been stuck with trying to photograph some piece of jewellery and not getting any decent photo? I finished these earrings in November I think... And I've photographed them many times. Now I finally got it :)

These earrings take forever to make. In one earring there are 12+1 dangles each with 4 3mm beads. But it's definately woth it :)

Small series of brooches. Same shape, same rhinestones but different colors. Rhinestones are all vintage, made in Czechoslovakia, Western Germany and Austria.

Head uut aastat! Tegin endale paar päeva internetist puhkust :) nüüd katsun meilihunnikud üle vaadata... Eelmisel aastal ostsin vintage pärlikee, millel olid küll (kõvasti oksüdeerunud) metallotsad ent oli lõpetamata. Valmistatud Jaapanis. Need pärlid pole masinaga tehtud, vaid on ebaühtlase kuju ja suurusega (umbes 11mm) ning mõnusalt rasked :)
Ja ühed kõrvarõngad, kus neid pärleid juba kasutasin. Lille keskel on tilluke vintage garnet ehtekivi.

Happy New Year! I took a little break from the internet :) and I'm trying to go through all the mail now... Last year I bought this vintage faux pearl string, it was finished with (heavily oxidized) metal tips but had no clasp. Made in Japan. Those pearls are not made with machine, these are all in a bit different shape-size (appr. 11mm) and really nicely heavy :)
And here's a pair of earrings I made using these pearls. In the center of the flower I put vintage Garnet rhinestone.

Brooch & Earring Set

Ma ostsin need imeliku kujuga helmed väga uduse pildi järgi ning ei teadnudki, mis värvi nad tegelikkuses on. Sain meeldiva üllatuse, sest helmed on läbipaistva ja läbipaistmatu valge peenetriibulised! Nii põnevad!
Prossi läbimõõt on 4cm ja kannab signatuuri :) Prossi nurkades on Lääne Saksamaal toodetud valged lihvitud ehtekivid ning keskkohas lille südamikus on hele lilla kivike.

I bought these strange beads having no idea what color they really are, because I couldn't see it clearly from the description photo. I was pleasantly surprised, the beads are a mix of opaque white and transparent glass creating thin stripes. How exiting!
Brooch measures 4cm and is signed :) In the corners of the brooch I put Western Germany white faceted chaton roses and in the center in the heart of a flower is a light amethyst rhinestone.
